German Railroad, Inc. (DB AG) type Roos 639. European standard design, 19.90 meters / 65 feet 3-1/2 inches in length. Version with high end walls, plug-in stakes, and rectangular buffers.

Model:

The cars have metal inserts for good running characteristics. The end walls on the cars are fixed in place and the stakes can be removed. The underbodies are specific to the cars. The trucks are type Y 25. The cars have stacks of lumber made of real wood. Total length over the buffers 114.5 cm / 45-1/16″.

Steam Locomotive Set – NEW 2011

Prototype:

3 different Bavarian steam locomotives. 1 class Gt 2×4/4 steam tank locomotive, 1 class B VI steam locomotive with a tender, and 1 class S 3/6 steam locomotive with a tender. All of the locomotives come in an elegant blue paint scheme, with applied golden boiler bands and exposed parts. The locomotives look as they did around 1910 to 1915.

Class Gt 2×4/4 :
This locomotive comes with an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 4 axles powered. Traction tires. The frame is articulated to enable the locomotive to negotiate sharp curves. The design of this locomotive does not allow installation of a smoke generator. The locomotive has dual headlights that change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. It also has numerous separately applied details. Length over the buffers 20.3 cm / 8″.

Class B VI :
This locomotive comes with an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a can motor with a bell-shaped armature, in the boiler. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. The design of this locomotive does not allow installation of a smoke generator. The locomotive has triple headlights on the locomotive and dual headlights on the tender that change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. There is a close coupling between the locomotive and tender. Length over the buffers 16.3 cm / 6-7/16″.

Class S 3/6 :
This locomotive comes with an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. A 72270 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. The locomotive has dual headlights that change over with the direction of travel. They and the smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Length over the buffers 24.9 cm / 9-13/16″. A suitable collector’s display case including a presentation base for the locomotives comes with this set. An excellent art print of a painting in water colors done by Peter Bomhard, famous for his railroad works is mounted on the back wall of the display case. This painting was done exclusively for this product.

Pennsylvania Railroad class L-1 fast freight locomotive. United States Railroad Administration (USRA) standard design 2-8-2 “Mikado”. Built starting in 1918.

Model:

The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has a controlled, powerful motor with a bell-shaped armature and a flywheel mounted in the boiler. 4 axles powered. Traction tires. A 72270 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. The headlight and the smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The locomotive has steam locomotive sounds synchronized with the speed, a whistle sound, bell sound or acceleration and braking delay that can be controlled digitally. This train is the 5-part version. It has an mfx digital decoder, controlled high-efficiency propulsion, long distance headlights, and extensive sound functions. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. The engineer’s cabs in the end cars have interior details. The train has a power pickup changeover feature with power picked up in the end car at the front of the train. The train has special close couplings with a guide mechanism. The interior lighting is supplied with power by means of a continuous connection through the entire train. The pantographs are only mechanically functional; they do not pick up power from the catenary. French State Railways (SNCF) TGV POS (train à grande vitesse) high speed train, in the version for service between Paris and Southern Germany. 2 powered end cars, 1 transition car (R1), 1st/2nd class, 1 transition car (R8), 2nd class. The newest paint scheme. The train looks as it currently does in real life in 2009/2010.

Model:

The train is a 4-part set. Both end cars (TK1 and TK2) are powered. The train has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled, high-efficiency propulsion in both powered end cars, centrally mounted. 4 axles powered through cardan shafts in each end car. Traction tires. The train has factory-installed interior lighting. The triple headlights and dual red marker lights change over with the direction of travel. They and the interior lighting will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The third headlight for the French headlight code can be turned off separately in digital operation. The headlights and interior lighting are maintenance-free, warm white LEDs and the marker lights are maintenance-free red LEDs. The train has separately applied metal grab irons.
